Offset mourns the death of his great uncle, who recently passed away after contracting the deadly disease. He took to his Instagram Story on Sunday morning, the Migos rapper shared the tragic news.

“Smfh this corona shit done killed my great uncle,” Offset with a grieving heart told his 16 million followers. “Rip uncle Jerry damn man.”

Cardi B of late talked about the virus’ impact on those close to her. “I’ve been really sad because so many people around me have been going through a lot of shit,” she said during a livestream. “It’s hard to feel good when so many people around you is going through a lot of shit.”

COVID-19 has infected more than 2.3 million people and killed at least 163,000 worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Saturday, Global Citizen hosted “One World: Together At Home,” which was a tribute to healthcare workers and first responders in the fight against the pandemic.
