The awards ceremony is set to hold on Sunday, June 28th.

As corona virus reign of terror continues, killing things that comes her path. The 2020 BET Awards ceremony will Virtually go into effect this year. The network announced that they will be moving forward with their beloved programming this year, but the ceremony will now be completely online.

Certainly, The BET Awards is the biggest celebration of Black culture and entertainment every year, and the network revealed that it has no intention of changing that even with the pandemic. This year’s ceremony will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Award show and the 40th anniversary of the network. It will be held via “innovative techniques and artist-generated content” on Sunday, June 28th

Scott Mills, the network president said in a statement, “Our community, and the many millions who love Black culture, look to the BET Awards for signature moments of enrichment, entertainment and empowerment. Recognizing the unique role the BET Awards plays for so many, and the challenging times we find ourselves in, we know it was more important than ever to deliver the BET Awards in 2020.

The ceremony will be organized by Connie Orlando, the head of special events, music programming and music strategy at BET. She disclosed in a statement, “At BET, we place the health and safety of attendees, staff, vendors, and partners first, which is why the biggest night in black entertainment will go on implementing this innovative production direction,“ she continued, “For the past 20 years, The BET Awards have paid homage to all things now and relevant. Despite the challenges of today, we will deliver a show filled with larger than life, inspiring, empowering and entertaining moments, which have shown the magic of our culture for over two decades.

The legendary star-studded award show is a cultural phenomenon every year. The previous year, the Migos crew member Offset even premiered choreography in his performance at the event.
